Its vented to provide airflow to your engine bay to help prevent overheating. Our skid plate is attached via four mounting points for extra strength and stability when on rough terrain. The skid is designed to be paired with an aftermarket front bumper, and it bolts-on to the factory mounting points with no drilling required. The plate is easily removable if you need quick access to the underside of the engine.
